This hour is loosely based on a performance that we created last year
called 'Kinda' Hot'. In that piece we took small audiences on a route
around the Little India area and played out a narrative about two people
who follow each other. This story was really a way to open up the place
to the audiences eyes and allow them to see a real place in new and
fresh ways. The hour is structured in roughly the same way as the
performance, the first half guided by Ben on camera and after a break at
the coffee shop, Kaylene takes over. Just as in the performance, the
interplay of our two charcters in this hour is really just a way of
experiencing the vibrancy of this area. We also had the luxury of having
a prologue on the new NEL line, with its illuminated tunnels, and an
epilogue at bustling Tekka Market at lunchtime.
